This movement - Yogdaan - is the brainchild of a bunch of college graduates, who in the final year of their college decided that they need to put up their hands and act out of their free will to support those in need around them. It began with a simple idea of spending some time with them on a regular basis to learn and understand the challenges they face and gradually, help them to uplift them out of their plights.
Our vision at Yogdaan is pretty much aligned with the thoughts of M.K. Gandhi:
“Take what you require for your legitimate needs, and use the remainder for society.”
We believe that there is a lot that we as humans can do
for each other if we listen to our conscience once and not just succumb to
peer processes. There is just not enough sympathy present in the world and
we should all be extending hands, whenever possible, and make life happy and
liveable for people. There are no limits to this act and we try to provide ways
in which people can come together and be a part of it.
We also believe that a simple act of kindness and charity towards an individual
is infinitely more powerful and life-changing than all the atrocities thrown
at him/her by life. Still interested, Why don’t you join us and find out about
the rest of it yourself?
